Job Description:
Title: Lab Assistant
Facility: Auburn Regional Medical Center
Department: Laboratory
Function: Lab
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Description:

Reports to the Laboratory Manager. Is responsible for collecting blood and other body fluid specimens from patients and processing all specimens for appropriate testing. Ability to perform technical procedures appropriate to knowledge and skills.

Two positions available, both .8 FTE (34 hours per week), second shift.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months experience in blood drawing preferred.
  • Successful completion of an approved phlebotomy program preferred.
  • ACA license eligible.
  • AIDS certification.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
